New First Age.
So what does ever think of the New First Age so far?
Yes the place has been turned upside down with the new lands, buildings and so on and yes we have lost a lot of buildings that were there before but I think its good.
I don't know what will be kept or even when the changes will be followed through and bugs are ironed out but its a nice change.

Re: New First Age.
It has been a little stressful for me because the contents of my pack have been deleted and there is no sign of my patron's temple or any of his marks.

Are we told that these changes are permanent, not just that much was copied over and now will be changed back?

Re: New First Age.
I was talking to Lord Genesis and he said that at the moment they are working on updating First Age. These are two years of updates in one go so it will take some time to get things sorted.
Once this is done they will be going onto a rebuilding phase.
So I would say get used to the changes and expect more.

And check your inventory. *Grumble*
(Still can't find the enchanters store with its wealth of herbs and poisons, and Genesis has not responded to my inquiries.)

Everyone else is annoyed at losing things.... my shop that Ive spent forever on has gone, but oh well, it is either not lost and can be bought back or it cannot and there is nothing to do about it.

Re: New First Age.
True things can always be replaced, its not the end of the world.
I have lost track of how many times I have put time, money and effort into things to lose it all like spending over 90k on Enchanter legions or even stocking the Enchanters shop with loads of herbs, animals, runes and so on.
In the end I would gladly give up everything I own to see the realm grow and prosper.
I would guess with over 2 years of updates to bring in Genesis might probably have his hands full for a while so we all will probably have to wait and be patient while things get sorted.

Aye, the main thing is that this is what we have been moaning about and waiting for, so we should be happy that its there.

Re: New First Age.
The changes happened just over a week ago from what I can tell. Genesis is carrying out a big update of firstage and Im guessing to make things easier they just took the settings from Legends to bring things up to speed.

Re: New First Age.
Ahh. Yeah, after logging in last night I can definitely see the Legends resemblance. Not sure if that's good or bad... makes me wonder if they plan on just merging the two together. It took me all of 5 minutes to find a bug, and I found plenty more in my couple hours of playing. Guess they got some work to do!
Re: New First Age.
Genesis actually engaged me in a chat an evening or so prior to initiating the big changes. He was interested in feedback on whether it would be better to merge the two lands or tweak First Age and keep it independent. He wanted to know why I preferred FA (as I was originally a Legends player).
My own opinion was that I liked the smaller player base (although not as small as it has been lately!) and the simpler life (i.e. no silly dragon quest, not as many chores, no complicated city globe business to figure out) so that I could work on, you know, sucking less as a fighter. I still got killed a lot, but I had some space to breathe and improve. That was my take.
But I haven't a whole lot from him since then as he has been busy.

Re: New First Age.
Interesting. Glad to hear he was gathering feedback though... I also prefer them independent, for the same reasons. Hopefully he takes that into consideration.
Legions
So this might have been covered before but I cant remember... do people have thier legions? Ive just started that task of gettin used to the new Avalon, my own guild even (which has about tripled in its rooms) and noticed I dont have any legions par 30 men ready to recruit...

Re: New First Age.
All Mage legions are on the missing list. The location shows in a field but I have not come across them yet. I suppose I might have to ask one of the Gods for help getting them back eventually.
On another note the realm has received some new updates today with new general and guild skills being made active. I am extremely happy with the new profession changes as I have been begging for one or two for some time. Lord Genesis has been very busy this weekend and things seem to be moving in the right direction. Yes there are still many bugs but we will just have to put up with them for now.

Re: New First Age.
Am currently being ejected from own Guild areas.
And on another note, the BUG command is not working, probably due to the overwhelming number of reports that he doesn't want to focus in right now, and therefore cannot report previous said problem.

Re: New First Age.
The bug command has been turned off for a while now.
If you are being ejected from protected locations like your guild barracks or com store then you will have to request permission before entering and wait. Its a new thing to stop people running to protected locations for safety.

Re: New First Age.
Last night, I would request permission, wait, get permission, enter the location -- and immediately be ejected. So they are still working a kink out or two.
Next day: SOLVED by Genesis appointing me general. Anyone else having this problem?

Re: New First Age.
I hate the new lock system. Have to wait a second before I can enter a location that's being unlocked...
Re: New First Age.
Finally found the Mage Legions today and was able to march them back to the guild. Took me about 20 minutes to do it, thank god for levitation. Found them in a field adjacent to the Enchanters Legions. I guess they were showing the Enchanters how to cast spells.

It is good to see that among the troops there is still congeniality among the mage guilds.

Re: New First Age.
I have a funny feeling that the new well-being thing is stopping us from making the most out of our lessons.
If you you read help well-being it says we need to eat a well balanced meal I think once a week. This would be a meal made using our labours skill. At the moment I'm getting the msg that my well-being is a tad below good.
Yesterday I used lessons to crown perception and it should have taken 280 lessons but I ended up using near 400 lessons. It is going to be hard making meal with few coms around but it is doable if you know quests that give you food to use in cooking.
