Future of First Age and Your Ideas?
Since Im locked up in the underworld for the time being I thought Id start up a topic to see what you all look forward to for the future of First Age and see if there are any things you would like see changed, introduced or what you are looking forward too. You never know we might come up with some ideas that can be used.
I for one was very pleased with my brief trip to Legends at the Mage skillset that they have. Im looking forward to see if any of those skills are introduced into First Age and see if we get Ult+ skills.
I thought the Newsletter which was sent out to everyone was a very exciting read and I would love to see either more newsletters to let us know what is going on or even some posts from the gods on the news bb to keep us up to date on where we are and where we are going.

Re: Future of First Age and Your Ideas?
I have lots of ideas but I've never mentioned them because I figure they'd never get implemented.
I think it would be cool to see a girl version of The Good Samaritan... Since Sam's not active, it would be a nice new thing and very helpful for newbies.
Always wanted to be able to have the ability to create new items and item descriptions... as well as rooms/room descriptions. Of course this would be more complex, because there would have to be some way to have the items/rooms verified as valid and not just some crap...
Also want the ability to create quests... I think we might have this now but I've never looked into it very deeply.
Wish we could hold more events... quizzes, egg hunts, gem quests, etc. I guess we don't really have enough active players for that to be much fun though...
I'm looking forward to the ult+ abilities, as well as specialisations.
Would like to see things such as city librarians... Looking forward to ult+ Scholarship for the ability to write tomes. I'm fascinated by the history of guilds, cities, towns, etc, so this would be really cool. Also think Field Marshalls/Marshall Aides would be helpful... More defined Public Relations.
Guild commodity stores would be wonderful... (We can set quarter masters... but that's useless right now!)
Mainly I guess we had a bit more customization and more defined ranks in the city.

Re: Future of First Age and Your Ideas?
Nice ideas. I did up a whole file before to create some locations, cant remember the help file that tells you what you need to do but I sent it but got no answer. I was thinking of creating a kind of Ranger Market which would have been two locations south from the Rangers shop in the Grove Tavern. I edited it so it would look like an Arabian Market with a fountain in the last location. Was thinking of building a whole bunch of shops in these locations and then allowing guilds to hold shops.
Also creating quests is help xpquest. I created 3 or 4 when I was an Animist for the guild and it was kind of fun. Im looking into creating a few more or the Enchanters guild and mayeb for the profession but Ill have to see about that last.

Re: Future of First Age and Your Ideas?
Great old thread!
The chessboard ritual alluded to in the early replies was implemented, along with many other crowned-ultimate skills.
Maybe the best thing we could all do is vote up First Age so word gets around and more players check it out, maybe to stick around. There are a few young'uns subbing lately which is a good sign. I've been trying to let them know about this forum and that's one reason I'm posting here so much lately.
The help files about crowning ultimate skills allude to some cool new additions such as steeds and special quests. That's great for the older players but there need to be cool and exciting things for the mid-sized players. (Smaller players are busy enough with badges, quests, and learning new skills.)
Maybe some of the ubiquitous and familiar quests can be rotated out for new ones? Perhaps a competition among the players to write a new quest, with the reward being lessons or a crowned skill or something.
I like the idea of the land changing and major historical events. For instance, in Legends one of the historic cities, Springdale, was completely destroyed in a war. What if a storm caused a permanent change in the land? What if the event was instigated by a conflict among the gods?
