Seems there are a lot of just forum topics with assorted bugs, so lets keep them all in one spot. All bugs and their status can be checked here. Feel free to post any new ones that happen to come up.

Post  Mysterin Mon Sep 08, 2008 11:08 pm

As far as I know these were all fixed when Farming and Labours were fully implemented.

Pointed out by Auralia:
Has anyone else noticed all the goofy things with the trees?

Like, at Overgrown track through the Greenwood, the trees here say this:

Enter more scripts, or enter a blank line to continue with the message.
The molten ore in the crucible begins to bubble before your eyes, such is the
heat given off from the furnace now.
Cries aloud, "Let the trees be reborn about Avalon!".
A knobbed chestnut twig breaks the surface of the path.

Info here gave me this:

"apricot-tree4224"Syntax: WHOSET <flag number>.
"juniper4225" Auralia grins, and begins to pound another lump of ore into
small fragments with her hammer.
"pine4226" Auralia raises her axe, and shifts her position ready to strike
at the base of the tree.
"almond-tree4227"a chestnut shoot.
"flag13816" the raised standard of Mercinae.

There's much more I've noticed, but that gives the idea. I know Genesis said he was changing things, I just didn't know if everyone saw this as well?

And another weird thing is when I type survey now, I can't see what gods have marked the location.

Known Bugs Empty An Outbreak of Bugginess

Post  Bodhin Sat Mar 07, 2009 8:11 pm

Any fun bugs or incidents to report from yesterday and today's outbreak of bugginess?

When I first noticed, Palim and I were chasing the orc shaman. Instead of dying, he would suddenly disappear into whirling mists.

Then we noticed unusual colors on the WHO list.

Then we starbeamed other players and saw some location descriptions that looked very strange. There was a location near the gates of Parrius that described something about the colors of the location becoming distorted. It was trippy.

Several players, including Judas and Palim, experienced bizarre "warps" where they would enter a location and suddenly be transported somewhere else in Avalon.

This morning (mountain time in the USA) while I was on, First Age shut down entirely and it was maybe twenty minutes before I could connect again to log myself out. When I got on, I discovered that I had been moved back to a location I had left a few minutes prior to the shutdown, and something had bashed me. My guess was, the computer shut down and restored to where it had last backed up its files, a few minutes before.

Post  Thorongil Mon Mar 09, 2009 10:35 am

Place is full of bugs, have not been gaining lessons for the last 3 days now, yesterday when I was on I kept getting tired and hungry no matter how much I ate, slept or used vigour. At one stage my health dropped to zero because I did not get to the stalls to get food 5 minutes after eating something and I dropped unconciouse due to lack of sleep and food. Dp lasts until you give it up so if you are on dp you can have it until the bugs are fixed. Not worth going on much really, its a pain!

Thorongil, I apologize, but your post really cracks me up! I guess the mental picture of you growling and trying to get to Merc as fast as you can then falling unconcious right before you could get food is just funny. Maybe I am a closet sadist. Laughing

It is so utterly broken! Logged on today to find my bank account at 0, the merchant unable to sell quest items to my apprentice because he's broke, too, and all the guild and city legions vanished in thin air.

A little more of this, and I may go on hiatus til they fix stuff.

More of the 'hacks' I assume. Gold has been removed from the city bank accounts, and not from the guild accounts. Legions are gone. Parrius lost almost all of it's gold.

Got the opportunity to say this though:

As I type this, I am getting stripped.

That's because First Age logged me out yet again, while Zooka was attacking me. I was unconscious, getting stripped, and I finally woke up and was defending my belongings when - oh yes, yes indeed, the scroll became still and for the umpteenth time lately, in what has become a 2-3 time per day event, First Age dropped me.

It's not the things I mind about, it's the fact that the bugs are directly interfering with game play and hindering my character. Harming him, in fact.

I need some sign from Genesis or whomever that things are getting worked on fast. I am at this point paying for something that dores not work

Well, to add to the fun, today quests seem to not be giving any xp. I did wine, scarecrow, blackboard, fountain, and a rockquest. Nada XP. Bashing does still give xp though, which is at least something that seems to work right.... Sad

Update: We can create new legions, the old ones are still in some kind of sleep of the dead, and we can't disband or dismiss the men because the syntax requires the legion names (which have been deleted, you see).

Bank accounts are being replenished from city reserves.

And I just got dropped again.

The service drops continue. Just now, I logged in and immediately got dropped, can't get back on. It has been a while. My character sits there waiting to get killed by some opportunistic Thakrian. I've emailed support asking if there is anything I can do (log in through a different address that works better? I dunno), but have gotten no reply.

Bug with picking/scrumping fruits and nuts.

There is still an issue with the salt commodity...

Interesting bug when disguising yourself as "something odd." Not really sure how to describe this one, it makes it impossible to do anything or talk to anyone, and I end up having to close FA and restart it.

Salt in Thaumacie which is used to salt the meat is buggy but fun to annoy people. There is a whole load of it and if you take it and the cherrubs come looking for it, its like an invasion of hundreds of Cherrubs.

Also, for some time all CCC's when they are healing the "swing from a blue potion". I have reported it loads of times but its still the same.

Oh yeah, that's annoying. It's usually when they walk into a location where there is another CCC of the same type (like two uruks), and they run into each other and all of a sudden need to heal. Back to square one...

There was another thing with some CCC's where they wouldn't lose health at all - you had to examine them first. Not sure if that was fixed yet?

Anyone having trouble learning, drinking darsurion, or even filling/emptying their bucket?

My bucket is empty, but says it is full when I try to put water in it. The oboe produces river water, which I cannot drink. Going to the pool does not help. I can't use darsurion and cannot use my lessons. Bugged it and msg'd Genesis, but nothing for more than a week. Would like to try it with a cup or chalice or even another bucket, but none are around for sale. Might have to ask someone to stab me with darsurion!

Did you think of trying to cityfashion a goblet since you are Baron?

Or how about using your labours skills to make a paper cup?

We always have the option of buying drinks from bars and Inn's also so we have plenty of options when trying to get something to drink.
