How did you find about about Avalon?

Just wondering how everyone else came to Avalon...

Some number of years ago I think I googled something like "Text Based RPG Game" and came across Legends. After a couple years I migrated to First Age, which I've enjoyed quite a bit more.

I was much the same way. When i was about 12-14 years old i found a great game. When I started searching for it again is when i found FA. I realized at once that this wasn't that land i was originally looking for and finding out that it costed money i damn near left on the spot. However, i realized that this land had a great deal of promise and decided that the cost was worth it.

My brother and I always played the latest 3D FPS and MMORPGS we could, but I started to find that these, while visually stimulating, were rather lacking in content. I started to backpedal, and went from 3D to 2D, DOS games that made up for their lack of visuals with content. I found a singleplayer text-based RPG and greatly enjoyed it, so I, just like Mysterin, googled "text-based RPG" and came across Legends. I was redirected to FirstAge from there. Curiosity lead me to try out other MUDs as well (since I didn't know what they were 'supposed' to be like), but I have yet to find a game as good as FA Smile

I was having a moment of nostalgia, looking for the old text based adventure games I played when I was young (yes, I was a geek, and yes I still am one tongue

. Now I also feel like a very old geek... *Le sigh*). So anyways, Google gave me Legends (go figure), but soon found the 'pay to play' bit on the website, was not impressed, so I kept looking. Not long after, I found FA with no 'pay to play' bit, so thought I'd give it a go. Fell in love, got annoyed when I found out I had to pay for this one too, but by that time, I was hooked - dammit!

Mine is a weird combination of what's already posted, I was bored back when I only had one class, and decided to try playing some games. I started by google-ing zombie games and found this pretty cool game, after that I looked up text based games and found avalon. I was hooked. Oh by the way, I don't even bother logging back into the zombie game since I'm sure the zombies have broken down the barricades and eaten my brain. geek
