Figured I'd make this for the newcomers wondering how to equip themselves.

Sack/Pack - Good place to hold and store items.
Snowflake Rune - When placed on an item (your new pack/sack for example), it will protect it from being stolen from another person when dropped.
Oval Rune - When placed on an item (again, such as your new sack/pack), it will prevent you from dropping it.
(Blue) Health Potion - Restores your health when need be.
(Dull Grey) Life Potion - Upon death, it will automatically resurrect you within about 15 seconds.
Item Charged with Pentacle - When used, you will stand within a pentacle of protection. Good against those nasty bandits.
Clothes - No, we don't want to see you naked.

In addition to the above-mentioned items, I usually recommend:

Goblet/Chalice-- or another suitable container for holding water from the Pool of Life.

Darsurion-- essential herb to have before undertaking lessons: uses up 3 lessons but gives the benefit of 5. syntax: put darsurion in <container>, drink water. Do not use more than once per Avalon day or 3 times per Avalon month. Any more will cause ignorance.

Atigax-- herb for navigating water/rivers/lakes. Keeps you from drowning.

Light source-- best is to get an item such as a ring, necklace, etc charged with light; but can get a lamp. A lamp must be filled with oil purchased from a commodity market, and oil will run out over time.
